Short version: we collect what it takes to track your rounds and connect you with your camp, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ads. The long version is below.
Who we are
Deer Camp Golf Co. ("Deer Camp," "we," "us") operates the Deer Camp Golf Co. mobile app and the deercampgolfco.com website. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Information you give us
When you create an account, we collect your name, a handle, your email address, and an optional profile photo. If you sign in with Apple, Apple shares only the name and email you choose to provide. If you send us a message, we keep whatever you send.
Information we collect from your golf
To track a round, we collect the scores you enter, the course and holes you play, and your device's GPS location while a round is active — that's what powers the live satellite map, yardages, and shot tracking. We use your round history to calculate stats like your handicap index, strokes gained, and season points. Location access is only used while you're actively tracking a round; you can deny it and still use the app, but distance and map features won't work.
Information about your camp
We store the friends you connect with, the clan or camp you belong to, posts and challenges you create or that are visible to you, and round invitations you send or receive, so we can show you the feed, leaderboards, and Mini-Tour standings.
Device and notification information
We store a push notification token for your device so we can notify you of things like a friend teeing off, a round invite, or a friend carding a round. You can turn these off in your device settings at any time.
Purchases
Membership subscriptions are billed and processed by Apple through the App Store, using RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We never see or store your payment card details. Shop orders (merchandise) are processed directly through Shopify's checkout — your shipping address and payment information are handled by Shopify, not stored on our servers.
What we don't do
We don't run advertising, we don't use ad-tracking SDKs, and we don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Who we share information with
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication.
- Apple & RevenueCat — process membership subscription billing.
- Shopify — processes merchandise orders, payment, and shipping.
- Other players in your camp, to the extent you choose to share rounds, posts, or challenges with them — Deer Camp is a social app, and golf activity you post is visible to your friends and camp by design.
We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't sell it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and round history for as long as your account is active, so your season and career stats stay intact. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us below.
Children's privacy
Deer Camp is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile information, disable location access, turn off push notifications, and delete your account at any time from within the app. If you have questions about your data, contact us using the information below.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections between the app and our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
